Jon Miklas

Lead Pastor

Jon is the founding pastor of CCC, and lead pastor since its inception. Raised in a pastor’s home, he heard the truth of the gospel from a very young age. One summer morning when he was 5 years old, he asked, “What happens to a person when they die?” It was that morning, after a breakfast of pancakes, that his dad shared how he could spend eternity in heaven and led him to invite Jesus into his life.

After graduating from Clarks Summit University in 1987 with a BS in Pastoral Ministry, Jon earned his Master of Divinity at Baptist Bible Seminary in 1991. His graduate studies included an internship at a church near Morgantown, PA. A vision of the leadership at High Point Baptist Chapel to plant churches led to the launch of CCC in 1992.

As lead pastor, Jon is the primary weekend speaker. He serves on the Elder Team, oversees CCC staff, and provides vision and direction to the ministry.

Jon married Christine in 1988. They have two children, Alicia (married to Mark) and Daniel, who lives in Virginia and works in the auto industry. They also have two grandchildren, Gabe and Reagan. Outside his role at CCC, Jon enjoys spending time with his family, reading almost anything, doing sprint triathlons, hiking, playing golf, and traveling with Christine to new places.
